Price + Quality: Why These Two Things are Key When Looking for a Lash Salon

price_quality blog header v2

When it comes to looking for the right lash salon (or any salon that offers beauty services) it’s important to know what to look for in terms of price and quality. Today we are going to share a few things to keep in mind when choosing a lash salon, so take note!

  • We all want to save money, however, bargain shopping eyelash extensions is not the best idea. Why you ask? Think about the health & safety of your eyes!
  • Price does not always equal quality.
  • If a lash salon’s price seems to good to be true, that could possibly mean that the quality of work is not top notch. Not always, but just be aware.
  • It can be better to go with a reputable lash salon whose work is known as being top notch and quality.
  • If you go to a salon or lash technician that offers a substantially lower price, then you could end up paying more money in the long run. How, you ask?
  • If you have to go to another salon to have a poor application fixed, then you will be out more money. So it’s worth the extra dollars to pay for quality work and service.
  • Read reviews and visit pages of the salon(s) you are considering.

  • A good way to get an idea about the services, salon and staff is by doing your research and reading reviews on Yelp, Facebook, Google Plus and other social media outlets. If the majority of what you see are good reviews, then that’s a good sign.
  • Visit the salon.  Before making an appointment, go take a look for yourself. Get a feel for the environment, look around and talk to the staff.
  • In terms of quality, get info from each salon about their techniques, quality of lashes and the application process.
  • Some salons offer “one size fits all” lash extensions, while others (like The Lash Lounge) customize  lash extensions for each client, offering various lengths, thicknesses and styles.
  • Ask about the type of lash adhesive they use during the application and if it’s a medical grade adhesive  (which is what you want.)
  • Does the salon/lash stylist offer products such as cleansers and sealants? These are key to keeping your lashes healthy and looking their best. A quality, reputable salon/stylist will offer products to their clients.
  • If you tend to have sensitive eyes, ask if the salon has sensitive adhesive.
  • Don’t let the questions stop there. Ask anything and everything you want to know. These are your eyes and your lashes,  so it’s a-okay to be selective and want information before selecting a lash salon/stylist.
